CYNE formed in the summer of 2001, within the longtime hardcore/punk/d.i.y. tradition of Gainesville and collectively embrace a stylistic range that includes everything from prog to pop to metal. These cultural informers collided with CYNE’s practice of sampling and live instrumentation to create music that is the cumulative representation of both the personal and the political. Knowledge Medina’s and producer Numonics‘ collaborative EP “Never Enough” will hit the streets on February 7. Just in time for Lover’s Day. Their sick second single “You Don’t Really Care,” is an anthem for the loyal, die-hard ladies standing by a man who, at times, just doesn’t really care.Touching on the complexities of relationships and the need for a strong woman by your side, the single is made to ease the pains of the female heart with smooth, soulful beat from Numonics, sincere lyrics and dope flows, courtesy of Knowledge Medina.
It’s a highly personal tune. As I took it upon myself to moozy on over to Knowledge Medina’s Facebook page and see his status is “engaged,” I couldn’t help but think this man poured his soul into his verses and shared it with complete strangers. A personal story of commitment and an ode to good women, it expresses how the handsome men in our lives sometimes act as if they don’t really care – but we stick by them because not-so-deep down, we know they do.
Now, without further ado; for your listening pleasure; Antisteez presents: Knowledge Medina’s and Numonics’ message in the form of song: “You Don’t Really Care.”

Parable vs. Mac Soto first introduced their musical collaboration with the sample-heavy, “Play,” and dig even deeper with their follow-up, “Soul.” Produced and composed entirely by Mac Soto, “Soul,” is an emotionally-driven piece with multiple musical movements. Mac Soto opens up with graceful and sincere vocals backed by soft piano notes, which quickly explodes with an aggressive breakbeat topped with Parable’s cutthroat yet honest raps. The song touches the unique, heartfelt topic of realization of fault and admission of guilt, while still maintaining an upbeat energy and drive. Stay tuned for a new song by Parable vs. Mac Soto every two weeks, leading up their upcoming project, aimed for Summer 2012 release.
