You know the saying “You just had to be there”? I’m pretty sure that’s how many of us will describe the latest installment at the very quiet OHWOW gallery. They’ll be dusting their doors off Friday after a long hiatus (since Art Basel) to bring the freeform video workshop Dadarhea.

Accord to the gallery it’s “An idea born from an absurd dream involving pee filled supersoakers and deep fried laptops.” But more likely the result of an experiment put together by a group of friends locked away for a month with their absurd imagination and a couple of video cameras. Be prepared to be puzzled, perplexed and plain old at a loss for words.

The group exhibit will utilize live action video (on location and greenscreen), musical performance and plenty of bewilderment.

Dadarhea-ists include (the recognizable names make the whole thing seem more legit): Devin Flynn, Jim Drain, Naomi Fisher, Ara Peterson, Joe Grillo, Takeshi Murata, Francine Speigel, Melissa Brown, Marie Lorenz, Todd James, Brian Belott, Jessie Gold, Michael Williams, Erin Krause, Alvaro Ilizarbe, Jen Stark, Friends With You, Billy Grant, Laura Grant, Alison Kuo, Eric Fensler and Bec Stupak of New York’s Honeygun Labs, who edited the video.

There’s a large possibility you will need a drink many drinks after said art show, so head to the official after-party at OHWOW’s spot Bar. There art lovers alike can compare notes and see who truly “got it”. Don’t worry after a couple of beers all artistic interpretations will sound highly intelligent and well thought out.
