The Heineken Mural Project combines art, technology and bicycling, which Miami knows plenty about. The murals feature talented veterans in street art premiere during Art Basel. The message behind the murals is “Open Your World”. Throughout Midtown and Wynwood the murals will have QR codes to scan for more information on the artist. Making their way off the beach are Deco Bike stations courtesy of Heineken in the mural neighborhoods. Stations will also have QR codes for a Heineken Mural Project Bike Tour. And what would Basel be without parties? Follow the hashtag #heinekenmurals on Twitter and Instagram for pop up parties at the mural sites with local DJs.

World-renowned artists Chor Boogie, Estria, Prime and Don Rimx along with Miami’s own Trek6 and CP1 are set to finish their murals between now and Art Basel week, providing art lovers with a behind the scenes look into the art of aerosol during Miami’s annual art explosion. Art lovers are invited to visit the murals during this creative process, share photos on Instagram (using #HeinekenMurals) and take the mural bike tour, which integrates quick response (QR) code technology. Each mural and Heineken bike station located in Wynwod and Midtown will have QR codes which can be scanned from the pedestrian’s smart phone leading them to The Heineken Mural Project website with information on the murals, artists, photos, videos and events.

 So who are the artists who are responsible for the mural? Celebrity-status street artists Chor Boogie, Estria, Prime and Don Rimx  and Miami-based prolific artists Trek6 and CP1.
