The Weekly Podcast : Mixed by DJ Guilletine podcast Boot Camp Clik BCC PNG

The Boot Camp Clik takes over this weeks podcast. Again, the mixing and scratching brought to you by, local celebrity, Guilletine.

In the search for different groups, record labels or artists to feature on our podcasts, I ran into an old school friend (practically family member) of mine, Jorge The Engineer, over at www.bangthebox.net, which just so happens to be one of the biggest Duck Down fans I’ve ever met. I simply asked him if he wanted to point us in the right direction of a sick tracklisting for the podcast. He was quick to respond with a list of 28 songs. Of course in the hunt for the perfect mixes, Guilletine added a few of his own picks and left off some tunes that weren’t exactly sounding key on the mix.

With all that said, enjoy this weeks podcast and reminisce on the early 90′s NY Boom Bap.

Can’t let everyone get all spoiled with all the themed podcasts every week. This week Guilletine brings you an hour of just random artists dropping bombs. We are working on a few themed mixes for the near future, though.

Actually… One of the ones we’re working on has to do with all of you. All of the 305 Hip-Hop family. If you are (or know) and artist that would like to be featured on one of the many up and coming “Miami Locals ONLY Antisteez Podcasts” go ahead and drop me a line. Guilletine and I already promoted it a bit and have a few songs we’re thinking about using, but the more the merrier.

It’s all about you, Miami!

Enjoy the listen.

The Weekly Podcast : Mixed by DJ Guilletine podcast notorious big

This week, Antisteez does it again. Another hip-hop legend, brought back to life by The Guilletine. With such a well picked out track listing, this mix is definitely one for the record books. Everyone needs some constant Biggie in their life. We made sure to make this one good enough to rewind and listen to a few times a day. Not to worry, most of the Puffy has been cut from the mixes.

We made sure to add some bangers in there that are not heard on a daily basis. Possibly even a song that most of you have NEVER heard. Let us know what you think about this by dropping a comment down below. The more feedback everyone provides, the more we know what we should do differently.

Enjoy the free music and peer pressure your friends into listening.

Ok, so y’all asked for it and we deliver. This weeks podcast, again mixed by the high and might Guilletine, is with two crews, filled with the founding fathers of Hip-Hop. De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest. Apparently, everyone enjoyed the conversation that led us to the Wu-Tang podcast. Nothing crazy this week. It went kinda like this…

MOTHERFUCK!!! That’s basically all I can say here. Guilletine goes ahead and takes care of this weeks BANGING podcast with a tribute to non other than, The Wu-Tang Clan. It was a genius (no pun intended) idea. Went a little something like this:

Monday Morning – 2:00am:
Lou: FUUUCK! I don’t even know what the hell to put on the podcast this week.
Guille: When is it?
Lou: Tuesday.
Guille: You want me to take care of it?
Lou: Sure.
Guille: Can it be themed? Like, a specific artist?
Lou: Yeah, man. Whatchu got in mind?
Guille: Wu?
Lou: ::dies::

My nigga, Guille, has NOT stopped working on it since then. And I think I might have mentioned it ONCE on Facebook and the craziness feedback I got back from it (before anyone even heard it), was insane. So here it is.

Make sure to send Guilletine some motherfucking love for all of this. Facebok his ass. Add him. Bother him. He really likes Jason Mraz, so go ahead and add a buncha his videos on his FB page.

Last week I sent out a mixtape to the masses, which in reality I enjoy doing, because sometimes your boy Lou has to much things on his hands, or just can’t think of much to put on a podcast, BUT mainly because I was testing something out and wanted to make sure it was perfect for the podcast. So far, it has been. Still need some work, but from now on, alle the podcasts WILL be mixed, profesh even.

I had to throw in some 2PAC to start off, y’all can’t front there. I also might have repeated some tracks from an older podcast but don’t hate me, like I said, we are testing some goodness out. Somewhere in the middle of the podcast you’ll hear my buddy Chyna give us a shout out. She had a cold, bare with her. LOL

Holler if you like it, holler if you don’t… Just holler.

So, I’ve been thinking about how I’m going to integrate a prize into our podcasts. A formula where you can win a little something, just by listening to good music, which is kind of an awesome thing, considering that not only am I giving you amazing music to listen to on a Tuesday but you ALSO get some free shit. I think I’m going to base it around the antisteez echo that I add in throughout the mix.

Basically what I’m thinking is, either count how many antisteez echoes you hear, or where each echo is located. I won’t start the give away just yet. I need to figure out what we will be giving away, first. Whether it’s tee-shirts, stickers or albums from artists that love us. Regardless, I’m not asking for payment on these incredible mixes, on the contrary. I’m giving you music and goodies.

Don’t forget to keep passing over singles from local artists. If you’re a Miami resident with some tunage, fork it over to be on the weekly podcast. If you know Miami residents with tunage, let them know to fork them over for a spot on the podcast as well.

Hello and welcome to another episode of ‘The Weekly Podcast’. I get so tired of figuring out what to tell you guys. I guess, as a quick intro, I’ll inform you guys that I’m starting off with a tune off of the new The Roots album which dropped today and, in reality, is fucking AMAZING!!!! Check out the very well written review on this album, that out new writer, Paul, shares with the Earf. Dude is a huge The Roots fan and I tip my fitted at him. Also, adding some local love for my home slices ArtOfficial that are doing it big and WILL be making a cameo on our newest HUGE project. Can’t wait for that craziness to hit you guys.

On another note, after I uploaded the podcast, I realized I put two J. Cole songs, back-to-back. But HEY! I’m not complaining about good music. Are you?

I’m thinking up a fun contest to win some stickers and free CD’s soon. Reason I’m posting it on the podcast post, is because it might involve The Weekly Podcast. Hmm.

One thing I learned while recording this podcast last night is, Listen to Shawn Boogie and Medina Green more often. See, that’s what this podcast is all about. That’s what this whole website is all about. Learning eachother about shit we should know about. Whatever, enough preaching.

I know that first beat is MAD familiar to you guys. That’s cause Big L and Jay-Z have a seven minute freestyle (yes that real famous one on YouTube we love the beat to) over it. Got two RnB-ish songs in there but you can NEVER go wrong when Phonte Coleman is singing hooks. Just realized how much Hall Of Justus is owning this podcast. Damn!

One of the main things I want to work on, when making tese podcast’s, is themes. I wanna make specific artist podcasts, years, groups and of course producer based ones. This week I bring you the first test. Who better to start off with, than Premier? Right! No one.

Starting off wit a CRAZY instrumental, that in reality, I have no idea where I got it from, but I know it’s nice and hard to find, so enjoy that one. Crazy beats as always and sick NY lyrics to follow those beats.

Enjoy the track selection and make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the themed podcasts.

I know what you’re thinking… WHO THE HELL DID THAT AMAZING NEW INTRO TO YOUR PODCAST, ANTISTEEZ? The answer to that question is, none other than our very own, up and coming super producer (I hate saying ‘super producer’, just cause of stupid Solar) Guilletine. Yo, you gotta check this kids production out. I got some exclusive bangers that I have, slowly but surely, been leaking on my personal FB page. I’m gonna be sitting with him soon and making a beat vid, just to show off a few seconds of a few hard hitters. I should be posting that sooner then later. Prepare for that.

Till then, as always, enjoy.
