For those residing in the 305 the trek to Revolution Live in Ft.Lauderdale may seem like a road trip in itself, but last Friday the miles and gas dollars were worth it. We realized quickly we weren’t in Kansas (read: Miami) anymore as the 954 doesn’t have our propensity to be fashionably late, so we unfortunately missed Garcia, Omniscient and AG Lyonz who hit the stage promptly at 9pm. But they hung around with DJ Klassick spinning for the rest of the night until Freddie Gibbs and The Chef arrived.
As the night went on Revolution slowly filled from the pit to the balcony spots, everyone ready for some hiphop to fill their Friday night. As you can see from the pictures the vibe was right and the music was head bobbing. Everyone was in daze as soon as C.R.E.A.M. began… We’re glad Raekwon is still apt to rock the stage after 20 years, as he pointed out and with plenty of that rocking in Miami. In the past year alone he’s performed at Eve, Fillmore and will soon grace the carpet at Bardot. See you at the next one.
