Sounduo describe themselves as a “post-dub, audio/visual live performance project”. Their performances emphasize live drums, electronic modulations and a synced visual/lighting production.
Now, if you’d like to hear what something like that would sound like check out the b-side of their latest release off their upcoming EP entitled “Shaka”. The track showcases the evolution of Sounduo from a performance project into studio production and includes samples from dub legends including Jah Shaka. Listen for the blending deep grooves, vintage samples, soulful vocals, ambient soundscapes, and heavy synth bass.
Sounduo – “Shaka”
The new EP “Departures” will be released later this year with more depictions of how these guys, Will Mills (guitar) and Zach Morillo (drums), have grown as musicians. Their unique take on dub music, endearing called post-dub by the guys, will take them to cities like Gainsville, St. Petersburg, Lake Worth, Ft. Lauderdale, and of coarse Miami to promote the new album. Stay tuned for that.
