If any of you have been checking out Foo Fighters’ Twitter update, you’ll see they’ve been “update clicking happy”. In-studio pictures of their equipment and the such have become a marathon of hints of them at the studio. Many people have been questioning of course what’s the status on the album and if the songs have already been written. While there’s no update on the release of the album, it’s estimated to be released next year and Dave Grohl says it’s going to be the heaviest Foo Fighters album yet. If its anything like the first album, I’m all about it. I’m just saying, if you guys have only heard Foo Fighters from “The Colour And The Shape” and on, you’re missing out on what I consider to be the BEST Foo Fighters album ever.

One of the biggest hints went down on Twitter when Foo Fighters posted the following on Twitter:

“Demos almost complete………countdown to FF7 session begins…….the wait is almost over. More to follow….

Just more and more hints and updates of the band hard at work and did you guys see the pictures? I’ll just say they’ve been bombarding their followers with loads of in-studio pictures.

The top confirmation though is not based just on assumption here’s what’s been printed on Wikipedia.org based on what the members themselves have declared:

“Next album and the future (2010–present)

The band is to begin recording their seventh studio album in September 2010. Butch Vig will produce the album, after having produced the two new tracks from the band’s compilation album. Taylor Hawkins has stated the band already has 15 songs written for the new album which will be recorded in Dave Grohl’s home as opposed to the band’s Studio 606. According to Grohl, the new album that will most likely be released next year will be the heaviest Foo Fighters album yet.”

Foo Fighters being one of my favorite bands, I have to say, I can’t fucking wait.
