There is one thing I can say about ¡MAYDAY!, and that’s that these guys are never boring. Their new video for, The Ride featuring West Coast legend, Del The Funky Homosapien, is both genius and hilarious…mostly because it showcases the band’s penchant for hi-jinks and tomfoolery. The video takes the, “baby on a doorstep,” idea to another level by replacing said baby with a coffin. The guys proceed to take this coffin around Miami, which in and of itself is kind of spectacular. (Of course they take it to get a colada. Of course they do.) The song is pretty catchy and really gives you a feel for the band’s sound. I reccommend ¡MAYDAY! to those of you that need a dose of good music in your lives. Favorite part of the video? Elevator ride at 2:44. Why? JUST for Wrek’s nonchalant, sunglassed, nonplussed, arm-crossed, are-we-there-yet demeanor. WIN.
