You Drink TO SAVE LIVES tonight. You fucking hero, you!

Never let it be said that alcoholics and social drinkers (which are just friendly alcoholics with more friends) cannot change the world.

Cause tonight, they can.

You like to drink. Admit it. It just feels so good when it touches your lips.

Well, you know what? Tonight you can make a difference for other people who like to drink…clean water that is.

You see, a little genius whom we will refer to as Caro “Little Genius” Manrique is trying to make the world a better place by asking you, the dirty martini drinkers to come out tonight and support her charity o’ choice which provides clean drinking water for people around the world.

All you do is show up, make a donation, drink you ass off, take a cab home, wake up the next morning hungover and then guzzle clean water. And as that clean water quenches your thirst, you stop and reflect that somewhere, because of your sacrifice, someone else is enjoying a clean glass of water free of mucky-muck, yucky-yuck and bacteria-diesease-grossness-pee-pee-blah.

And they told you that your drinking was a bad thing, eh?

Here are some facts for those of you reading this right now and feeling just a mite thirsty:

• 1.1 billion people on the planet do not have access to safe, clean drinking water.

• That’s one in six of us. In fact, Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of all sickness and disease, and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.

• Charity Water (the organization that you will be raising money for) gives 100% of the money raised to direct project costs, funding sustainable clean water solutions in areas of greatest need.
• Believe it or not, just $20 can give one person in a developing nation clean water for 20 years.

So tonight, you show up and you can actually make a difference. Seriously. Just like that. And let me tell you, nothing, and I do mean NOTHING feels better than helping people and bettering their situation. (Well, maybe getting busy feels good, too, but you can go check out this event, have some drinks, meet a nice person who likes charity and has had a few too and then take them home and get busy. All while helping and donating to charity. Making a difference AND getting laid…pffft….glorious.)
